Orit Nevo

𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐨 is a long-standing figure in the international Rhodesian Ridgeback community, widely respected for her deep knowledge of the breed and her dedication to its preservation. Over the years, she has contributed as a breeder, judge, and lecturer, sharing her expertise with Ridgeback enthusiasts around the world.

Orit established her kennel, Rich-Rach, in Israel in 1992, focusing on breeding healthy, well-tempered dogs that exemplify the true spirit of the Ridgeback.

Beyond her breeding achievements, Orit has held several key positions within the Israel Kennel Club (IKC), including editor of the IKC Magazine, member of the IKC Scientific Breeding Committee and Education Committee, board member and IKC board secretary (2011–2013), IKC Vice President (2017–2018), and IKC Executive Manager (since 2018).

Orit is also a passionate educator, regularly lecturing at the IKC Cynological Academy and conducting seminars for breed clubs and judges‘ committees worldwide. Her commitment to education is evident in her participation as a speaker at numerous Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congresses, including Denmark, the UK, the Netherlands, the USA, Ireland, Canada, and Sweden.

At RRWC 2026, Orit will present “Reading Beyond the RR Standard”, inviting participants to explore the Ridgeback beyond the written words of the standard. Her talk will focus on interpreting the breed in a way that balances conformation, functionality, historical context, and the breed’s inherent character.
