Performance Event

We are planning to introduce performance events as part of our RRWC 2026 weekend activities.

The performance events will take place on Saturday May 30, 2026 and on Sunday May 31, 2026 along side the dog shows. Dogs will be able to attend both the Performance as well as the Dog show.

The Performance events will focus on three different sports and we look forward to all of you, who would like to take place and show us that ridgeback is not just a show dog!!!

Agility

Dog agility is a sport where you direct your dog through a pre-set obstacle course within a certain time limit. Courses typically have between 14-20 obstacles, which can include tunnels, weave poles, tire jumps, seesaws, and pause tables where the dog must stop for a set amount of time.

Nosework

Nosework is a dog sport and activity that harnesses a dog’s natural scent detection abilities. It involves dogs searching for specific scents in various environments, both indoors and outdoors. The goal is for the dog to find the source of the scent and communicate it to the handler, often by sitting or staying at the location.

Rally Obedience

Rally Obedience is a dog sport where handlers and their dogs navigate a course of stations, each displaying a specific skill or task, in a fun and interactive atmosphere. Unlike traditional obedience, Rally encourages communication and teamwork between the handler and the dog. The goal is to smoothly complete the course, following the signs and performing the exercises while maintaining a strong bond.
